Our vision
a world that adjusts
A world that understands and adjusts for people with sensory needs of all kinds.
Our story
Say it: HUSH-ree
A calm home for anyone who finds the world too loud, made from lived experience and led by a clear vision.

Why we exist
Noise sensitivity is real and common, yet it is often dismissed. Too many people are quietly told to cope better. We exist to change that. The problem is a world that is too loud, not the person living in it.
What we are here to do
hushri exists to make understanding easier to find and everyday support easier to use.
Our vision
A world that understands and adjusts for people with sensory needs of all kinds.
Our mission
We make the noisy world a better place for people who process sound differently.

Where hushri sits
Clinical resources can be accurate but cold. Wellness apps, soothing but generic. Independent creators, authentic but unstructured. We bring these together: accurate and warm, calming and specific. The trusted, human home none of them holds alone.
What we stand for
They shape how we speak to you, the resources we create, and the kind of place we intend to be.
We remove barriers so support is easy to reach.
We are warm and approachable, never clinical.
We say what is true, clearly and without spin.
You are welcomed, represented, and made to feel you belong.
We meet every person as they are, without judgement.
We mean what we say, and we say it with care.
The founder
hushri is built to grow beyond any one person, guided by a clear vision: a world that understands and adjusts for people with sensory needs of all kinds.
hushri was founded by Nadine Benjamin, and is shaped today by a small team who care deeply about this work. It began at home, with a family learning what it means to live with noise sensitivity.
Noise sensitivity is real, and it can be hard, for adults and children alike. When a child experiences the world as too loud, it reaches into everything: school, sleep, mealtimes, and the calm of family life. Nadine's young son, who is autistic and experiences sound intensely, is the heart of why hushri exists. She wanted to help build a world that recognises noise sensitivity as real and significant, so that his future, and many others', can be a little kinder and a little quieter.
Because it comes from lived experience and real care with the facts. We take a research-informed approach: claims are checked, sources matter, and anything uncertain is said plainly. Above all, hushri is made by people who understand what it is to find the world too loud, and corrections are always welcome.
